Character's Name: Travis Troubadour
Age: 23
Occupation: College student; aspiring court reporter; part-time Renaissance actor
Brief Physical Description: 5' 6", young blond male with apricot-colored skin,  emerald green eyes and a beauty mark on his left side of his mouth; sky-blue suit and pants, ruffled Renaissance dress shirt with a purple-checkered vest
Brief Personality Description: Talkative, enthusiastic man with a keen eye for poetry and acting; hence his last name, "Troubadour", which is the name of a medieval poet and songwriter. His enthusiasm is balanced by his trusty sky-blue journal, where he writes his thoughts, musings and problems on. Because he talks way too much for his own good (for working as a Renaissance actor, serving his reports, and academic-wise), he quietly keeps to himself by writing in his journal. Often times he get in trouble for blurting out secrets or important information (or TrouBADour, if one thinks of  "Ace Attorney" humor) so writing down stuff in his journal keeps his mouth shut. Travis is also known for his quirky fashion (blame his love for all things Renaissance) and he is often seen wearing his purple-checkered vest. 
Connection to canon characters (if applicable): PHOENIX WRIGHT - While serving his jury duty at age 21, Travis met Phoenix thru a civil case which he was involved in serving for. After serving, Travis approached Phoenix to interview him about his experiences being a lawyer. 3 years later, Travis stumbles on the Labyrinthia mystery, serving as a court reporter during Phoenix's encounter with Espella Cantabella and Olivia Aldente in the English court of London. He then finds the Historia Labyrinthia book lying in the empty English courtroom and magically enters Labyrinthia just as they did earlier. Soon after he enters this alternate  world, he disguises himself as a citizen of Labyrinthia by visiting Bart Couture's pawn shop,(see Barton Courture: fav.me/d7ydalk) where he pawns his sky-blue suit and pants in exchange for Labyrinthian clothing. Bart Couture later learns that Travis's original clothes doesn't yield significant value despite its unusual properties of polyester and cotton fibers (a 21th century invention, mind you), and sues him in a civil trial for false transactions. PROFESSOR LAYTON - Travis meets the Professor and his assisant during his time in Labyrinthia, and after explaining his story to him, he agrees to secretly investigate the Labyrinthia mystery by jotting down notes in the form of poetic riddles. His enthusiasms gets out of hand when he rounds up a carnival motley to invade the Labyrinthian walls and sings his coded riddles out-loud for everybody to hear. Brief Background: Travis is a French-American college student aspiring to be a court reporter after meeting Phoenix Wright. As a busy student, Travis works part-time as a Renaissance actor in many Renaissance faires. His passion for Shakespearean poetry and acting fuels his outlets towards working in the paralegal industry as a court reporter, where he carries around his sky-blue journal everywhere. He crafted it with the help of his mother before entering college; his mother died in a car accident, and after losing the case to gain compensation from the driver who killed his mother, he was left alone to lead his adult life alone. As a French-American (his mother was French), Travis inherited his beauty mark from his mother, and is often teased for appearing girly with it. Of course, his social skills lend him to get many girls to date him, but often times he just enjoys their company. At least his good looks got him the Renaissance actor job, and it wouldn't had happened had Travis met Phoenix Wright later in life; eventually, Travis was prompted to find a purpose in life, and that's how he gets around nowadays. This promptness brings Travis to Labyrinthia and help solve its mystery, whom he finds it a wonderful place straight out of a Shakespearean story!
